Chapter 142: Against All Odds!
In a short amount of time, the frozen scenery around him turned to pitch black with silver chains moving, twisting, and shaking all around as though they were living beings!
“Domain-type Talent?” Theon seemed surprised but his eyes still beamed like stars from the excitement.
He never fought against a Natural Born Cultivator and especially not against one with a Domain-type Talent! This was his first time thus he will definitely savor this moment real well!
“Here I come!” shouted Theon and moved his feet but found it strange as his speed was relatively slow. It felt almost akin to someone putting a rope around his waist and pulling him backward while he wanted to run forward!
The feeling was weird and hard to just simply ignore!
“In my Restriction Domain, every type of Movement Skill or Art is limited and every individual’s Talent will be halved for 1 minute! You have no chance to fight nor win. It’s my victory.”
Seila’s voice was calm and quiet but in the ears of the spectators and Theon, it was as loud as thunder.
“That girl… Why did she need to use her Natural Talent against someone like him? Argh… Such a waste!” murmured Elder Caz angrily but in the end, still sighed helplessly.
Theon stared at Seila with a calm look in silence, though the next second sighed and nodded, “Winning against you with Martial Arts alone is indeed true. However…”
As he said that, Theon’s body gradually became half-transparent while gentle white light began to envelop his body, “Even though my power was halved, 30 seconds will be still enough for me to win!”
Swish!
“!?”
Clang!
Seila raised her sword and defended against Theon’s palm that appeared out of nowhere in a split second!
“Ho-” Seila seemed to be dumbfounded by Theon’s newfound speed but as another palm moved toward her chest she was unable to finish her simple question.
“29”
Clang!
Following the palm that was deflected, Theon tilted his body slightly to the side, and with a powerful swing kicked toward Seila’s head.
Clang!
However, this one too was deflected with Seila’s sword and even a counter-attack came, slashing at his thigh, ready to cut his leg off with one smooth slash!
Theon obviously anticipated this, but he wasn’t scared at all. Rather, he seemed as calm as a still pond and didn’t move.
Swish!
With a crescent silver arc, Seila’s sword reached Theon’s thigh but the moment it would have cut his leg off, it simply passed through his thigh as though it was nothing but air!
“Spirit Body can resist some types of Domain’s but in exchange, its time limit will shorten drastically,” exclaimed Elder Caz, seemingly intrigued in the fight between the two Cultivators.
When the sword passed through his leg, Theon stepped on Seila’s sword once again, but this time instead of pushing her away he jumped into the air, his waist now one level with Seila’s eyes and his heel aiming at Seila’s head!
“!?”
Swish!
“Huh?” Theon seemed to be confused as to why his kick didn’t reach his target but soon found it out.
Seila who should have been standing before her now was behind him in the air, her left eye turned golden with a spinning triangle in its middle!
She used her Mirror Sight to use Khal’s Secret Art once again and evade Theon’s fatal onslaught!
And now that she was in advantage, Seila didn’t hesitate and swung her sword, crashing into Theon’s body powerfully.
Or at least would have crashed if his body wouldn’t have been in that annoying Spirit Body, making him impossible to touch!
Swish!
BOOM!
A powerful gust of wind broke out from her slash, but except that and the chains shaking in the distance, nothing happened at all.
“21” Theon’s voice sounded once again in everyone’s ear, his feet targeting one of Seila’s legs this time.
Seila noticed this and jumped up to avoid it, but who would have thought this is what Theon exactly wanted.
Still, in the air, Seila watched as Theon extended his arm and grabbed her ankle firmly and with a strong swing made her body fly into the distance.
BOOOM!
Even though there were no physical ground or objects around, the moment Seila’s body reached a limited range her body crashed into an invisible wall, making the entire Domain shake like crazy in a blink of an eye!
But it was only obvious as every Domain type Talents had a limited space where one could move around as they were no separate dimensions.
Standing up from the ground among a slightly contorted complexion from the pain, Seila was about to use Khal’s Secret Art through her Mirror Sight to close the distance between her and Theon, but it seemed unnecessary.
The moment she raised her gaze what she saw was Theon’s already approaching figure, his palm ready to crash into her chest akin to a train that had no brakes!
“Sigh… It seems I am truly weak after all…” suddenly a disappointed sigh escaped from Seila’s mouth, but it wasn’t directed toward Theon but herself!
And right after as she said that, the triangle stopped spinning in her eyes while a sudden mysterious power erupted from her body!
BAM!
Straight off as that happened, her body turned half-transparent while Theon’s palm passed right through her body, dumbfounding Theon to his very core.
And this is exactly what Seila needed. As soon as Theon seemed shocked causing his mind to blackout for a split second, Seila swung her sword and pierced Theon right in his heart!
“!” feeling the piercing pain in his chest, Theon lowered his gaze, only to find Seila’s sword stabbed deeply into him!
“Blargh!” vomiting up a huge amount of blood that fell right onto the blade, Theon began to smile and without having the chance to say anything lost control over his body and collapsed.
“…”
Every spectator, including Elder Caz that watched this scene unfold remained silent, unknown what they should say or how they should react.
Everything that just occurred under the previous moments was things that no normal Cultivator could understand as the way Seila won was nothing ordinary at all!
Withdrawing her sword and making her domain and golden eye disappear, Selia stared at Theon’s body on the frozen ground with an expressionless face.
“Cough… Cough…” raising her hand to cover her mouth, Seila coughed up a small amount of blood one after another while her delicate complexion began to pale gradually.
It seemed that whatever power she just used affected her body quite severely and its signs showed right away!
“I shouldn’t have done that…” mumbled Seila with a pale face and after glancing at Theon’s body for one last time walked away, her sword still dripping blood onto the ground.
However, when her body vanished into the distance and no spectators were watching the area where they just fought, Theon’s body gradually began to form cracks and soon vanished into thin air in the shape of small blue fragments.
