Chapter 303 – From the very get go, all he wanted to do was to focus on his research. (2)
After being up all night, Su QinMei had dark circles under her eyes. Su QinMei couldn’t catch her breath after hearing those words. There was nothing she hated more than someone belittling her with Su QinYing. She had always had low blood sugar and, with this antagonization, passed out right then and there.
Zhang Kaiyu did not look any better than her. He had silently acknowledged of Su QinMei’s plotting against her own sister. Su QinMei was too cunning and his son was a volatile one. Su QinMei was not as strong and Su QinYing and, they could use that as a leverage against the Su family. As such, he had accepted the death of Su QinYing.
He let out a sigh. Who knew that Su QinYing’s son would have achieved such great achievements? Or that Su QinMei and her son would brought about so much troubles for the Zhang family.
No amount of money could buy one “had I known….”
When push came to shove, he would just have to give up on Zhang Bi and cut his losses. Cold lights emitted from the deep part of his eyes.

Fang JunRong wasn’t surprised that the old man would come knocking at all. She asked Jiang WenYu, “Do you want to talk to him?”
She would just have someone toss him out directly if he didn’t want to deal with Zhang Kaiyu. It wasn’t a secret that she wasn’t a big fan of the Zhang family.
Jiang WenYu rubbed his temples and said nonchalantly, “I’ll go talk to him. It’s time to settle my scores with the Zhang family.”
He had no intention to patch things up with the Zhang family when he had blown things up this time. The longer he stayed with the Zhang family, the more he was disgusted by how profit-oriented the Zhang family really was.
He stood up, then, after giving it some thought, put away the fruits on the table and placed the inside of the refrigerator. These were fruits brought by Fang JunRong and they were delicious. It would be too wasteful to offer them to this grandfather of his.
Watching what he was doing, Fang JunRong’s lips twitched a little.
“Okay, you two have your chat. I will head back to my office now.”
She cleared out the place for the two of them to talk alone. She wasn’t worried that anything would happen to Jiang WenYu. The surveillance was on. Plus, the bodyguards around Jiang WenYu would not let anything happen to him.
She happened to brush past Zhang Kaiyu on her way out. Zhang Kaiyu’s face dropped a little when he caught the smile on the woman. Fang JunRong and Jiang WenYu seemed to be closer with each other than he had imagined. He suspected that part of the reason that WenYu could not open himself up to the Zhang family was because of instigations from Fang JunRong.
He walked over to the conference room on the second floor unhappily.
When he saw Zhang Wenyu, he put on a pained look, “WenYu, how you had been wronged.”
Jiang WenYu looked straight at him and said calmly, “You are right about that. So when is Zhong Yi going to apologize to me openly?”
Zhang Kaiyu was taken aback a little. If Bi was to apologize, it would confirm the fact that he tried to plagiarize WenYu’s work. The Zhang family could never admit to such a thing. That would destroy their reputation.
“WenYu, I will have him apologize when you return and Grandpa will make it up to you as well.” He pushed the precious herbs that he brought with him toward Jiang WenYu.
Jiang WenYu didn’t even bat an eye. “What I need is an open apology.”
Zhang Kaiyu had a difficult look on him. “WenYu, the Zhang family’s hundred years of reputation is on the line here. You are tied to the Zhang family. We will both rise and fall together. There is no reason to bring about that kind of damage to yourself just to make a point. I know that you have been wronged this time and I promise I will make it up to you. Bi is your brother. Why do such a thing to him? The only thing that will come out of this is to give reasons for our enemies to laugh at us.”
Zhang Kaiyu was very pained and regretful toward the end. He only wished that could reach this stubborn grandson of his with his words.
